Last Hurrah

Asher and I went out to the garden to pick our last cherry tomatoes. We have to get the bed ready for garlic and want to remove the plants before they get sick and then sickify our soil. Oh how I love thee my sungold. I know I should find an heirloom replacement, but I have never been overly wowed by any other. Yes, there are other great cherry tomatoes, and yes I will begin branching out a bit whenever it is that we have more space (fingers crossed for Victory Gardens this spring), but Sungolds never let me down and I am sad to let them go.
We will meet again next year and the reunion will hopefully be as wonderfully sweet as each year that has past.Asher had some fun with them thought. Lining them up for their final photo shoot of the season. I love this kid and his organizing. Then he ate them one by one.
