We did something two weeks in a row! I am so happy that getting into the woods once a week has already worked for two weeks. Maybe this is a little premature, I will be very happy at 8 weeks. We adventured last Thursday morning (A needed a nap this day) into the woods for a very beautiful walk with some friends.

The walk really helped me let go of some frustrations I have been having as a parent. Asher was lagging behind and I wanted to catch up to my friends, so of course I told him to hurry up instead of embracing the fact that he wanted to be a little fox and crawl off the trail, I know what a brat!:). Selfish, selfish mama. This is my biggest hurdle as a parent: forgetting about myself for most of the day. One step at a time though, I am working on it.
We did however find lots of squirrel crumbs. Picked up lots of nuts and celebrated fall with some apple crisp and shared with friends. River slept and then enjoyed our water bottle.

We will be heading back into the woods today for a new adventure, and it is all about them. Asher gets to be the trail leader.
