Bubbie's Birthday (a week ago)

Good Food, Good Weather, Great People= one Fabulous Celebration for one wonderful Lady. I think the pictures tell the tale well enough.

Bubbie/Mom/Meryl turned 60 on August 16th and we braved the long road trip to celebrate. Originally this was our big vacation of the summer, full of ocean visits, aquarium trips, fishing, great east coast food, walking down our past life, visiting with old friends. Stressed isn't really the way to describe life as we know it these days, but I don't have a better one. Needless to say we cut our vacation, but were lucky enough to enjoy a family reunion. 4 days of driving and 2 days with none, it was worth it for all the fun with people we don't see often enough.

But holy cow, I am so so so so so happy to be home.

So right on regarding motherhood, Kate. These times slip quickly by, ever so silently...being in the moment to enjoy and savour is what life is all about. The photos from the Wisconsin and Pennsylvania family visits are wonderful. Crammed a lot of living into a short time!! Let's try for the Grange Fair next year-can't believe we forgot to go Saturday!
