Loving the Newest Z

Oh my boys are in love. With this little of bundle of joy that became part of their family 12 days ago. They have both been so interested and gentle with her and loving her as good as they know how. A, wanting to hold her and R wanting to kiss her. And oh, my brother is such a proud, proud papa. Reese is a lucky girl. H
And the new family of three, expanding with ease. She really does seem to be already smiling in moments, healthy, strong and loved.

Things I'm Loving

Pop corn right off the cobb. If you have a chance, pick some up from the Moore's. It is amazing. Pops up super quick in a pan on the stovetop and is so light and fluffy. I love popcorn, expecially locally grown popcorn. The SUN, it has been a gray, gray October, but the days that the sun shines make it that much more amazing. I of course love that boy hanging out with our fall decor.
A's love of birthdays. He insisted that we needed to make uncle bill a cake, and was really sad when he found out uncle bill wouldn't be coming to eat it with us. I assured him that someday uncle bill will come to visit. The contents of my knitting basket actually changing and getting worked on! Hooray for multi tasking, woodburning, soaking up couch time, knitting while reading boods aloud.

Things I'm Loving

Asher sharpening knives with his papa. Our resident barn spider, spinning a new web for us to see every morning. Entertaining us at meal time- no worries, she's on the outside of the window. My fall boquet. Still looking good 10 days later.Asher being too smart. I knew his shoes were in the car and told him he needed shoes to go outside. He put on mine.A left over challah, french toast apple bake, the idea was better than the result, but I am having more fun with throwing things together and putting them in the oven. I still ate it.Brothers.

Things I'm Loving

Pan Pizza: I love homemade pizza, always seem to be changing the dough I like the most (I have been loving the same one now for over a year, it only takes 30 minutes to rise) and work with the pizza stone. But now, I make pan pizza. our copper skillet that we use for everything now has another use: pan pizza. Coat it with olive oil, drop in the dough, add your favorite toppings and put it into the hot hot oven 500. So good. Our New Glarus that Ben got for his b-day (he owes me so much beer from when I was pregnant).
Our Fall Themed Nature Table, off to a good start. Apples in season, this is a crisp Asher and I whipped up this week, over the top in a graham cracker crust. Asher's chosen place to talk on the phone. He is going through the answering the phone phase.

Two boys in a sink taking a nice mid morning bath so mama can make challah. My first freezer paper stenciling attempt- lots of holiday gifts on the way.
Our 136th jar going through the pressure canner- we have lots of tomatoes around here.My beautiful fall colored boquet. Flowers for a happy new year.
