Good Chocolate

We had a bit of a tradgedy in our community in the past couple of weeks. A man we knew and who was a spark for change and doing better in the world lost his life. He made chocolate, an art, rare, beautiful and delicious.
It's funny how death effects you and the people around you. For nights on end I have thought about him and how Ben and I can be better people to live in his example. We have been quiet and introverted, but really inspired as of late. It is so easy with two young kids to get completely swallowed up in the life that surrounds you. So easy to forget that we are all part of something bigger, that this world deserves the best from us. Too easy to live life without thinking of everyone else out there.

It was lovely to see you the past couple of days. I look forward to seeing where this new inspiration leads you. Truly sad to hear of the loss of this man.

I don't know if you have added my new blog (deleted my old one) to your reading list, but here is the link to it:

I was wondering if y'all were friends of his. I read about him in the Food Coop newsletter. That is so tragic! We recently lost a friend here to a battle with cancer- he was 32 and had 3 girls- 2 1/2 and twin 3 month olds. It has been so sad. It has also really put life in perspective to me, and how important it is to appreciate every moment and to love our family and friends now. We should talk soon!
