Weekend Update

So we had a pretty fun filled weekend. headed up to my great aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary and got in a little family time. Everyone's trip into town was short lived, so I didn't even see my brother on Saturday, but Ben and I did get to enjoy my little cousin Michael's baseball game- the 7 year olds were quite impressive. We got to visit Kati's new shop- Fire Up, where we actually saw some kids we know from Urbana in an article about the shop painting pottery. The shop is beautiful, the woman who designed it and has now sold it has great taste. So good luck to the faletti's new business. We also visited the red tower in Peoria, with a giant woodpecker on it's side.

Came home, tried to prepare for our Sunday bbq. Headed over to Timmy's for dinner and a cocktail party. Not too late of a night... Then the meat fest celbration. Ben smoked briscuit, pork shoulder, beef ribs and baby backs and grilled up some elk. People brought wonderful side dishes and we had a great meal. The heat was present, but everyone survived.

Wow that was a boring post. Hope everyone is well. I am off to pick blueberries and enjoy my day off tomorrow.
