I know, I haven’t posted in a really long time. I was sick for four days and that was preceded by Spring Break Day Camp here at the nature center… virtually me, 25 kids, four leaders on rotating schedules and me here all the f-ing time. Needless to say the children being the germ vectors that they are, all the work with no breaks and feeling delirious, plus a mid-week boss intervention that hurt us all emotionally sent me into a whirlwind of sick., that then jumped from me to Ben and has left our house looking like a tornado hit and our beer only stocked with beer from when the college roomies were in town…
That was a real fun time. Rachel, Connie and Tanya drove in Friday night from Madison, Molly drove in from Omaha and Katie came in for lunch on Friday after a detour in Bloomington visiting her brother. It was a great time. Drank a lot, talked a lot, made lots of gnocchi and had some fun with highlighting our hair.
I am now trying to get a hold of myself before the busy season really sets in. I need some time at home to just organize, get the spring cleaning bug out and maybe overhall the basement. My tulips are blooming, crocuses may be passed and the daffodils appear to be waiting for something exciting, they have been promising a bloom for the past couple weeks, but nothing.
In other news my brother has some good news coming his way. A diamond ring involved. That is very exciting and I can’t think very clearly as I sprayed some adhesive in my office that wasn’t really a good thing to spray in a closed in area… my brain is a bit frazzled. I still plan on posting new Zealand pictures the question is when and I will just keep you all on edge.
